Job Title: 1099 Nurse Practitioner (Independent Contractor)

Location: Healthy Living Urgent Care and Wellness Center – Smyrna, GA

Reports To: Medical Director/Practice Administrator

Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide patient care as an independent contractor. The NP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a fast-paced urgent care setting, with the flexibility to perform in-person and telemedicine visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for urgent care visits including minor illnesses, injuries, infections, and basic procedures.
• Conduct physical examinations including DOT and immigration physicals (if certified).
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans according to state laws and scope of practice.
• Collaborate with support staff, physicians, and medical assistants to ensure optimal patient flow.
• Utilize EMR system for charting and telemedicine visits.
• Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.

Requirements:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Georgia.
• National board certification (AANP or ANCC).
• DEA license and prescriptive authority in Georgia.
• Active malpractice insurance or can be covered by Healthy Living Urgent care
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and telemedicine platforms.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments.

Contractor Expectations:

• Maintain appropriate professional liability insurance..
• Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.
• Comply with all Healthy Living policies, HIPAA, and Georgia healthcare regulations.

Compensation:

• Compensation based on hourly rate
• No benefits included (contractor status).

Job Types: Contract, PRN, Per diem

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Smyrna, GA 30080
