**Job Title: Textile Technician** **Job Description** Join our innovative team as a Textile Technician and support the groundbreaking development and production of 3D woven materials. You will work closely with the Product and Hardware teams to pioneer the world's first 3D woven products. As a crucial member of the early technician team, you will operate, build, and support a revolutionary new manufacturing process. **Responsibilities** + Operate and maintain our revolutionary robotic loom. + Produce new woven outputs and coordinate product runs. + Ensure product outputs meet desired specifications and quality control standards. + Maintain a safe and organized workspace. + Identify limitations of technical approaches and provide insights about machine performance. + Create and maintain documentation for internal communication and record-keeping, including data collection during product runs and machine testing. + Collaborate with the engineering team on experiments and results. + Identify and communicate suggested improvements to designs, documentation, or processes. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of hands-on experience with textile machinery and production facilities. + Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, perform occasional repetitive tasks, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. + Knowledge of textile fibers and yarns. + Experience and comfort working with machinery and robotics. + Proficiency in assembly, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with industrial scale looms. + Hands-on experience with fabric production and/or development is ideal. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team with the opportunity to work on a temporary assignment that offers exposure to cutting-edge textile technologies and innovation. **Work Environment** This role is based in a manufacturing warehouse environment, where conditions can be cold during January. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Emeryville, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
