REQUIREMENTS:

• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE as a Leasing Specialist for 1 year with affordable housing experience

- QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong knowledge of qualifications and required documents for affordable dwellings
• Strong experience with Tax Credit and Sec8 processes and tenant requirements
• At least 6 months experience is required. Knowledge of relevant software (OneSite, AMSI, Yardi, Yieldstar) is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively engage prospects and relay pertinent information about their housing requirements
• Complete all necessary filing and paperwork associated with Section 8/HUD/Tax Credit qualifications
• Report to the Property Manager with updates and a list of duties to be completed
• Review resident files to ensure documentation is accounted for and up-to-date

-ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have knowledge of the community and floor plans to successfully convert tours to leases
• Process applications and prepare leases for qualified potential residents
• Conduct surveys as requested to ensure competitive market pricing
• Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
• Have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task

**Bilingual is not required but is a PLUS**
