Job Description

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Ashburn, Virginia (Onsite Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Remote Fridays)
Contract: 3+ Months
Pay: Up to $40/hour

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a leading firm who is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with agency recruiting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent pivots—similar to a staffing firm setting rather than a corporate HR structure.

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from requisition opening through onboarding. This includes developing strategies, sourcing candidates, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle recruiting: resume review, phone screens, interviews, and candidate recommendations.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and craft accurate job descriptions.
  • Maintain candidate status and updates in ATS (Paycor experience a plus).
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for recruiting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state job board postings and OFCCP requirements.
  • Source candidates proactively using ads and resume databases.
  • Manage a high-volume requisition load with precision and responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4–5 years of recruiting experience, ideally in an agency or staffing environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction, data centers, field techs, switchgear, MEP, and superintendent roles strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ATS experience helpful.

Additional Details

  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally.
  • Highly detail-oriented and adaptable to changing priorities.

Ready to make an impact in a dynamic environment? Apply today and help build exceptional teams!
