We have a local area client looking for a HR consultant for a 3 month role. This is to backfill someone on leave and will pay between $30 to $50 per hour..
Responsibilities
Serve as a seasoned HR generalist, providing expertise across multiple areas including manager consulting and coaching, HR program implementation, training and development, recruitment, immigration, employee engagement and retention, employee relations and investigations, onboarding, exit interviews, policy administration (excluding COE-owned policies), and audit support.
Lead implementation and provide consultative support for annual HR programs such as performance management, compensation planning, engagement surveys, and training initiatives.
Advise and coach managers on performance, career development, and workplace concerns.
Ensure workforce headcount aligns with AOP plans.
Support talent acquisition through offer analysis, key position recruitment, and guidance on future workforce skill requirements.
Address employee issues, lead employee relations efforts, and manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations to foster a fair and positive work environment.
Drive change management initiatives related to organizational effectiveness and HR transformation, ensuring smooth transitions to system-based or global HR services.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Manage physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring confidentiality of employee information.
Assist with integration activities for newly acquired businesses as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist role.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR regulations.
Strong understanding of HR processes and systems (SuccessFactors Employee Central preferred).
Exceptional consultative and coaching skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
Proven ability to influence and negotiate across all organizational levels, including executives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Customer-focused mindset with strong teamwork capabilities.
