Job Description

Location: Grand Junction, CO
Employment Type: Part-Time / As-Needed
Schedule: Evenings and weekends (event-based)
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Citadel Security USA is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Special Events Security Officers to support concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other large-scale gatherings in Grand Junction and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are customer-service oriented, able to work in dynamic environments, and available for flexible scheduling.
Officers may be required to travel out of town for certain events.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a visible and professional security presence at special events
Perform bag checks and screening in accordance with event policies
Conduct ID verification and support alcohol compliance efforts
Assist with crowd control and manage foot traffic safely
Deliver excellent customer service to guests, staff, and vendors
Monitor for safety concerns and report issues to event leadership
Follow post orders, venue rules, and company procedures
Qualifications
Minimum age of 18
Ability to remain professional in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness and ability to travel out of town as needed
Reliable transportation
Prior security or event experience preferred but not required
Work Environment
