Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the infrastructure that powers Greenway Secure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud computing, along with strong knowledge of backup solutions, monitoring platforms, disaster recovery, and security best practices. This role requires hands-on technical execution, strategic infrastructure planning, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform’s reliability, performance, and security.

As a Principal System Engineer, you will lead the strategic design, implementation, and management of the organization’s systems and infrastructure. This senior leadership role involves architecting scalable, secure, and highly available environments that align with business objectives. You will mentor senior engineers, oversee complex projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization’s operational efficiency and effectiveness in technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers and associated applications.
• Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues in environments.
• Support the application of security best practices, including patch management, user permissions, and system hardening.
• Help manage backup and disaster recovery processes to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
• Work closely with other IT teams to support the integration of Linux systems with other platforms and technologies.
• Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding systems and applications.
