Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist for Maternity Leave coverage.

• 2 OT position needed
• August to November (possibly longer)
• Elementary students

Hourly Rate Range: $45.00–$60.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve student accessibility.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Maryland State Department of Education and IDEA guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland Occupational Therapy License issued by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
• NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
