Entry Level Medical Assistant Opportunity! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Under the direction of the clinic supervisor, this role plays a vital part in supporting patient care by preparing exam rooms, assisting providers, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. This is a 3 month contract position, great for a entry level MA who has complete their school program, searching for an opportunity to start their career and get some experience under their belt! Key Responsibilities + Prepare patient exam rooms and equipment using aseptic and sterile techniques + Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs and brief medical histories + Perform clinical procedures including immunizations, injections, venipuncture, and urinalysis + Assist providers during patient exams and procedures + Greet and register patients, manage referrals and authorizations + Schedule appointments and ancillary tests accurately + Answer and route incoming phone calls, taking and distributing messages + Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms Qualifications + Medical Assistant degree/diploma (160 hour completed externship required) + 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant if not actively certified + EMR experience + Strong communication and organizational skills + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Work Environment This position is onsite in a fast paced dermatology clinic. Schedule is as follows, must be able to work the following schedule: Monday, OFF Tuesday, 8am to 6:30pm Wednesday, 7am to 3pm Thursday, 6:45am to 2:30pm Friday, 7am to 12:30pm Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
