Job Description

This is a temp (3-6 mo) to perm position. Once converted to perm you will be eligible for the company's full benefits package.

Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Must be able to successfully pass a background check, drug test and driver's report check.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work on major and minor repair work and overhauls on plant's engines, motors, pumps, and related equipment
• Schedules work to be done and determines type and quantities of materials needed for such work
• Inspects buildings and equipment for needed maintenance and repair

Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in the construction, repair, and operation of engines, pumps, and other mechanical equipment related to wastewater treatment plant operations and procedures
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of an effective mechanical, structural, and grounds preventive maintenance program and operations of internal combustion engines and electrical pump motors
• Basic electrical knowledge involved in working on pumps, motors, and other equipment; equipment, tools, and materials used in maintaining and repairing wastewater treatment plant and related equipment • Demonstrated experience in safety principles and practices, and related state and federal laws and regulations
