Design Process Engineer – Agency Contract
Bellevue, WA | $67–$110/hour | Onsite | Contract Role

System One is seeking a highly motivated Design Process Engineer to support nuclear plant design engineering process development, oversight, and maintenance. In this role, you will focus on design change control , working as part of a high-performing team of engineers and scientists to coordinate and integrate engineering processes across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and maintain engineering processes and standards, with emphasis on design change management and control .

• Provide coaching, tools, and training support for engineering teams on design control, configuration management, and related processes.

• Identify, raise, and resolve inconsistencies between procedures and engineering deliverables.

• Support planning efforts and ensure schedule adherence for design and design change activities.

• Apply project and program management techniques to daily work, meetings, and team coordination.

Key Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years of experience .

• Strong background in integrated nuclear plant design and construction execution.

• In-depth knowledge of design control tools and nuclear industry design change control practices.

• Experience spanning the full product lifecycle : design, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.

• Familiarity with ANSI/NIRMA CM 1.0 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B control programs (required).

• Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.

• Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in both independent and team environments.
