Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer III to join our Infrastructure and Operations team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable Azure cloud architectures while supporting multiple initiatives such as API refactoring, Azure Container Apps, Databricks migration, and cloud governance. The ideal candidate has deep Azure expertise, strong automation skills, and experience supporting enterprise-scale workloads in a cloud-first environment .

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable Azure cloud solutions (storage, compute, networking, containerization).

• Refactor API-based applications into Azure-first architectures.

• Support data migrations from on-prem to Databricks and Azure Data Lake .

• Define and enforce cloud security policies, access controls, and compliance (ISO, PCI, GDPR, FTC Safeguard).

• Design disaster recovery strategies across Azure East and West , with upcoming EU workload support.

• Automate operations with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet .

• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to align on architecture and governance.

• Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of cloud environment issues.

• Maintain architecture documentation and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• Track cloud KPIs related to performance, availability, and cost optimization.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• 5–7 years of enterprise cloud engineering experience (designing, implementing, and managing large-scale Azure platforms).
• Expertise in Azure Databricks (priority requirement).
• Proficiency with Azure services , virtualization, and containerization.
• Scripting and automation experience ( PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet ).
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) .
• Problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303/304).

• AWS cloud experience.

• Experience with multi-region Azure workload deployments .

• Mentorship and leadership experience within engineering teams.

• Background in automation of security hardening, monitoring, and compliance .
