Are you a tenacious advocate with a passion for resolving or trying disputes? Katie Charleston Law, PC, a firm practicing nationwide in federal and state courts (CA, NV, TX, FL, IN), seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
Qualifications:
- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
- Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
- Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
